Retriever Training with Jim Beverly

Jim Beverly has been training dogs since the early 1960's. His ability to evaluate and understand each individual dogs' personality allows him to do what is needed to solve a specific problem, or motivate an animal to behave and perform in a positive manner. Although Jim does obedience training and problem solving for all breeds, sporting breeds, specifically Retrievers, is a specialty.

“My 40 years of experience allows me to be successful with any dog I train. ,” says Jim. Jim strongly believes that each and every animal is capable of doing what it was bred to do. The amount of stress each dog can withstand dictates the training method used to bring him to his full potential. The first step is to consult a good breeder and secure an animal that has the style or personality a person desires. Jim insists that a good trainer will “Get the best out of your dog, teach them every command, as well as educate you on how to handle and promote a pleasing and enjoyable working relationship with your dog.”

We are excited to have Jim Beverly and his retrievers at this years Expo. Jim will hold retriever training demonstrations throughout the show and talk to you about waterfowl hunting with your dogs as well.
